Since the late 1980s, Montrose Pictures has produced a variety of independent dramatic, comedic, and documentary films. Led by producer, director, and writer Michael Caplan, Montrose Pictures continues to produce films that entertain, engage, motivate, and educate audiences.

Michael was born in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Master of Fine Arts in Film from Northwestern University. He is currently a tenured professor in the Film and Video
Department at Columbia College Chicago.
